Scheduling FAQs
Q: Why does our team play certain teams more than others?
A: Balancing team representatives' preferences, varying opponents, and differing game registrations is challenging. Sometimes, location preferences lead to repeated matchups to accommodate rink preferences. Other factors, like forfeits, postponements, or teams registering for more games, contribute to occasionally having back-to-back games or facing a specific opponent more often.
Q: Why did the survey ask for location ratings but some games aren't in our favorite location?
A: Achieving a balance between parity and location preference is crucial for our league's long-term success. Our sister league in Edmonton shows that broadening the regions teams play in fosters competition and parity. While we consider your team's regional preferences, playing in different city areas occasionally helps us grow as a city-wide league, prioritizing parity and competitiveness.
Q: We can't make a game on a scheduled date. Can we reschedule our game?
A: No, rescheduling games isn't possible due to ice contract commitments and the "knock-on" effect on other teams and schedules. Please always provide scheduling omit dates before deadlines sent by the league to ensure that we can work around your dates.
Forfeits
If your team needs to OFFICIALLY CONFIRM a forfeit, please click the below button. You are more than welcome to notify us through other communications if you think you may need to forfeit, but we only treat forfeits submitted through the above form as "official" and final to avoid scenarios where we notify opponents of forfeits only to be told that the original forfeiting team says "nevermind".
FORFEIT CONFIRMATION
It is critical that you understand the forfeit policy and the number of times your team has forfeited.

Gamesheet Requirements
- Players must register separately each season and for each team they play on. Team Managers should review online game sheets after each game and report discrepancies to the League Director within 96 hours via the Stat Request Form. We will NOT retroactively change registrations/stats/games played if the Team Manager/Alternate Team Manager does not properly notify the league within 96 hours.
- The Team Manager and/or Alternate Team Manager should review each online gamesheet the day after their game.
- Only registered players can participate in games. Unregistered players risk a $50 fine. Team Managers are responsible for ensuring player eligibility, even if not present at a game. Players must sign with their legal names; nicknames, initials, or forged signatures may lead to disciplinary measures. If a player plays on multiple teams, they must register on each team they play for for both insurance but also to ensure they are on your teams roster and can qualify for playoffs, receive statistics, etc.
Playoff REQUIREMENTS
- Players require 5 games to be eligible for the playoffs as a skater regardless of the number of games a team has elected to register for. This number has been reduced from 6 games to 5 games to account for the fact that there are no longer any roster exemptions granted under any circumstances.
- Goaltenders must be present for one (1) regular season game to qualify for the playoffs as a goaltender. League management must approve situations where someone only qualified as a goaltender wants to play as a skater. In the case that a goaltender has played as both a player and a goaltender at different points during the season, they must have played at minimum three games as a player and reach the overall minimum games threshold outlined to also qualify as a player.
