Winnipeg Rec Hockey League Announces Leadership Additions, Departures | Jamie Campbell Promoted to President of Hockey Operations

WINNIPEG, MB - August 16, 2024 - The Winnipeg Rec Hockey League (WRHL) today announced key leadership changes as part of its ongoing commitment to growth and excellence in recreational hockey.

Effective immediately, Jamie Campbell has been promoted to the role of President of Hockey Operations. In this position, Jamie will oversee all aspects of hockey operations for the WRHL and serve as the primary point of contact for the league. "Since joining the WRHL, Jamie has come in and led significant change, overseeing our hockey operations team," said Tyler Fitch.

"It is important that our league is run locally, and Jamie embodies that. His mission will be to foster  connections with teams and players and leverage them to grow our league across the city of Winnipeg. We are confident that under Jamie's leadership, the WRHL will continue to thrive and expand its reach." 

Additionally, Jenn Clarke has been promoted to Director of Administration. Jenn will be responsible for managing the administrative functions of the league, ensuring smooth operations and supporting the growth initiatives.

As part of these leadership changes, Jason Patterson, Rob Barnsley and Tyler Fitch have resigned from their current roles within the WRHL. They will remain involved with the parent company, Canadian Premier Hockey League, in advisory capacities. There will be a transition period  leading up to the start of the Winter 2024/25 season. Other changes to the organizational structure of the WRHL will be announced in the near future.

The Winnipeg Rec Hockey League remains committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive, and enjoyable hockey experience for players of all skill levels across the city. Under the new leadership team, the WRHL will continue to focus on expanding its reach, improving facilities, and fostering a vibrant hockey community in Winnipeg.
